For today's 365 Cards challenge, I had to incorporate pins for decoration (I chose safety pins) and needles for the purpose of stitching somewhere on the card. Besides that, anything goes! I used some patterned paper from Making Memories... it's actually from the Wedding 8x8 paper pack, but you can't go wrong with black and white. Also, if you want your hand-stitched details to look nice, do what I did. Use a safety pin or paper piercer to lay out the holes first, then go back and stitch. I put it on top of some fun foam and just pierced straight through it. That way you don't accidentally bend the paper or anything like that. Enjoy!

365 Cards - White Space Challenge
Hey, happy Saturday everyone! I'm actually at work all day, but at least the sun is shining and hopefully the snow has passed for the season... I hope everyone is enjoying Spring and playing outside whenever possible!
This week 365 Cards has been participating in Spring Challenge Blog Hop. Take a look at 365 if you want to participate and get a chance to win some great prizes! There are a lot of great challenge blogs participating!
I was feeling a little rebellious when I made this week's card for 365 Cards. White space AND following a sketch... that's a lot of rules to follow! I do enjoy simple aesthetic, but for some reason I struggle with white space challenges. I made the card smaller to bridge the gap a little, but other than that I did somewhat follow the sketch! Just a fun little baby congrats card. Enjoy!

Day 41 - 365 Cards
Hello, hello! I hope everyone's had a great week! Mine's been a little busy, since my husband was out of town for most of it, but I'm glad to have him home (even though I have to work all weekend!)! This evening we did discover a little treasure near our apartment, which was so fun! I love taking turns where you've never been before to find something so amazing! I'll have to go back and take some pictures :) What are you doing this weekend?
I'm excited to share this card for you today because it is for such a fun challenge at 365 Cards!
The challenge is a Do-it-Yourself challenge, which i always love because I don't have a ton of tools and I often end up creating a lot of elements myself rather than purchasing ones that are already made. Okay, so the challenge is to create your own Glittered Blossom: "Add glitter to the tips or to the entire blossom to create your own fancy embellishments." What a fun challenge! It really is something you can make as simple or as elaborate as you want! Today I went for the more subtle end of the spectrum. Here's a closer look:
Polka dots and glitter stripes! Let me just say that I love stamping on Basic Grey solid color paper. It adds the lines/distressed look without making it too much of a statement or having to do anything extra, which I love! I kept everything else on the card fairly simple to make the flower the main focus. I can't wait to see all of your glittery blossoms!! Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Day 34 - 365 Cards (color scheme!)
Hi everyone! It's Saturday at 365 Cards (Day 34), which means I have another challenge to share with you. It is also the last day of Sew Many Cards week, so go take a look at all the cute images in their shop! I got to use this cute little owl image called "Ollivia Egg."
I really enjoy color challenges because it doesn't change your subject matter or layout, but still provides some inspiration. This is definitely not a color combo I think to use normally, so it was a lot of fun to do. I did cheat a little and add in some neutrals (a staple for me). I hope you'll try out this color scheme and upload your card to 365 Cards! Thanks for stopping by!
Cardstock: PTI (Stamper's Select White, Kraft)
Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants, Basic Grey
Ribbon & Buttons: PTI
Stamp: PTI (from Damask Design)
Glitter Glue: Roseart
Ink: Memento (Rich Cocoa), PTI (Ripe Avocado)
Misc: Fashion Cord Hemp, red gel pen, black ink pen
